July 2007 Update: Reminders to Help Your Employees Get the Most out of Their Coverage
by BMC | Jul 30, 2007 | Updates
- Keystone/Personal Choice has extended their “no pay co pay” for generic drugs through December 31st 2007. Using generics saves money! They are so encouraged by the increased demand for generics generated by this program that they will now offer 3-tiered Rx card programs that have $0 co-pay for generics. So, in essence, you can continue the “no pay co pay” for generics. At renewal, we’ll be sure to give you rate quotes for those options!
- On the subject of Rx drugs, be sure to remind your employees to use the mail order benefit for maintenance drugs. You can get a 90 day supply for only 2 co-pays and, if it’s a generic drug, you get 90 days with NO PAYMENT at all!
- Encourage your employees to utilize the web-based tools offered by Independence Blue Cross (IBXpress) and Aetna (Aetna Navigator). Setting up a personal account with a user id and password is quick and easy and allows them access to a world of information about their individual benefits and claims. Mail order prescription drugs can be managed/renewed on-line as well. If you’d like an employee letter on the subject to distribute, let us know.
